FORESTRY MANAGEMENT & WOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY OF SIBERIA |
We invite you to participate in 17th annual international exhibition of sawn wood, new technologies of wood processing, modern tools, gear, equipment for forest husbandry enterprises, which is to be held in exhibition complex of OAO "Sibexpocenter" on September 14 - 17, 2010.
Wood processing industry holds one of the leading places in Siberian economy. It accounts for a quarter of all wood and paper production in Russia. Forest husbandry and wood processing industry of Siberia employs over one million workers. Siberia accounts for 12% of wood-covered area of the globe. Also, it accounts for about a similar amount of wood volume in the world including 25% of the most valuable coniferous species. Total wood resources of Siberia are estimated at 33 bln.m3. Irkutsk region contains 27% of the total wood reserves of Siberia. A unique natural and resource potential of the territory predetermined creation of a powerful complex — a key element of the region's economy.
Exhibition organized by: OAO "Sibexpocenter" — member of Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, a leading fair operator of East Siberia. Active participation of: Ministry of forest husbandry of Irkutsk region, Union of wood processing and wood exporting enterprises of Irkutsk region.
